We have some exciting progress on our Wall Herb Garden Project. There are signs of life in Chives, Oregano, Thyme, Sage and particularly Basil! Oh yeah! I'm a little concerned about no signs in Rosemary and Parsley. Might need to re-do those. And Cilantro was planted late, so we have yet to see how that will go. Can't wait to see what the next couple of weeks brings! I got these awesome Ball jars in a set of six from Sur la Table. Check them out!
Wall Herb Garden: Done!
Okay. After yet another trip to Home Depot, I got the pebbles needed to provide some drainage for these little guys. Planted and watered, we hope soon to see sprouts of sage, parsley, thyme, rosemary, basil, chives, oregano, and cilantro. Grow Babies, grow!
Cilantro Sprouting!
My little herb garden wall project is coming along. Cilantro has begun to sprout in it's new little home -- a green mason jar mounted on a piece of distressed wood. So cute! Little life sprung! I got these Ball jars in a set of six from Sur la Table. Check them out!
Wall Herb Garden Project - Part One
I love cooking with fresh herbs. As is typical with City living, we have no yard or even patio area for a garden. So I'm making an herb garden in my kitchen. It will be a wall piece. I've collected all of the elements for the garden, next will be to put them all together. My talented artist sister will be visiting soon and she has promised to help me finish the project. Stay tuned!
