We discovered a low-carb pasta that’s delicious! Carba Nada, by Al Dente Pasta Company. For this meal, we used the Carba Nada Egg Fettuccine with a store bought sauce (choose your flavor!) and simple grilled chicken breasts. A great low maintenance, tasty meal after a long day at work.
Camembert Baked with Maple Bacon Onion Jam
Whaaattt? Oh yeah! At work the other day, my colleague told me about this amazing new thing... Maple Bacon Onion Jam. Seriously... how could I NOT try this? I paired this with a round of Camembert cheese. Super yum!
How to Make It:
To prepare, I sliced off the rind over the top of the cheese and generously spooned the jam over it. Broil just a few minutes and out comes this bubbly decadence! I served it with thin sesame crackers.
McP’s Fish & Chips
We continue to be impressed with the variety of awesome options available at McP’s. Last night, Michael got the fish & chips and I got a taste. Yummy!!!
Grilled Sonoma Leg of Lamb ala Bistro Aix
The Grilled Sonoma Leg of Lamb is one of my favorite dishes at Bistro Aix — our favorite San Francisco neighborhood restaurant. It's served with an incredible Potato Gratin and Rosemary Ju.
Gana's BBQ Baby Peppers
These were a delicious side to the BBQ feast hosted by our friends, Pat and Gana.
HOW TO MAKE:
Using a BBQ vegetable rack, cook peppers about 10 minutes to soften. Remove from heat and cool. Halve and clean the peppers. Fill with a scoop of soft cheese (ricotta is what we used) and drizzle with honey and balsamic vinegar. Place back in rack and add to heat for five minutes. Enjoy!
